Baja, Not Just a Marketing Word

In the US when something is labeled Baja, you can expect it to come with a heftier price tag. But after experiencing the actual Baja, which means below, it's clear that it has nothing to do with price. I've seen people here in Mexico do things with their cars that Americans would never do. Not because it's fun, but out of necessity.

People in America buy the Baja edition because they want to stand out, and then they never take it off the pavement.

It makes me a little nuts to see things balanced so poorly. I see these Ford F-150 Raptors, new Jeep Wranglers all decked out, and all sorts of bro-dozers here in the states whose owners just use them to go to the grocery store. Then there are people who live way the hell out in the middle of nowhere who are driving regular old cars to get where they need to go. Toyota Tercels, Honda Civics, Kia Rios, that log more miles in the Baja dirt in a month than all those aforementioned fancy rides that sit in their garages or driveways day after day will in their entire lives.

Quit buying things you really don't need. All this fancy stuff will never fill that giant hole you keep feeding.
